Passageway

This ambitious project aims to design a "Pedestrian Path" over the 101 freeway, a significant barrier currently dividing Northern and Southern Downtown LA. The goal is to create a protected elevated platform that not only provides shelter from the elements but also ensures a safe and seamless connection between these two vibrant neighborhoods.

My approach integrates modular geometries and spatial organization principles to craft an innovative and functional design. By deeply considering the cultural significance and context of the site, I aimed to create a space that respects and enhances the neighborhood's unique character. This project is a testament to my commitment to designing environments that facilitate human connection and interaction while addressing practical urban challenges.
